Processing drives me crazy.

In a good way, and a bad way.
Have fun!

Scrapbook your clothes.

So so happy final projects are over. Although I did have fun learning how to use a sewing machine, I am having quite a bit more fun taking a break from it.

Fashioning Felt.

I finally made it home last night after a long struggle with customs and borders that I was not permitted to cross. Lesson learned: never, ever leave your passport on the plane(at least if you want to keep your sanity in check). I will make it out to Switzerland soon though. This spring break just wasn't the time I suppose. Oh well, I got a couple of extra days in with the family in London so I can't complain much.
We made a quick trip up to the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum today to see the Fashioning Felt exhibition. Overall, I very much enjoyed it and was particularly mesmerised by this room draped with felt fibres. Too bad we weren't allowed to take pictures, so I had to steal these off google. You can view more photos on the museum website.
It's meant to be 18ºC tomorrow. Time for bare legs! Hooray!

Crafties.

So last weekend I went to my favourite little antique market on 25th street to collect some materials for my mood board for my 2D project. I picked up a few little trinkets for a total of 20 dollars and left feeling like a happy camper. Here are a few photos of my discoveries.
On another note, my best pal, Hillary, is landing - oh wait - right now (!) into JFK. I am waiting for her to call me and get her cute little butt over here and give me a hug. It has been a long 7 months without you!
Bisosus!

Stream of consciousness.

I very much enjoying being the photographer's assistant - especially with the weather being so lovely lately. L has chosen to represent her stream of consciousness via photographs for her visual diary class this semester. Consequently, I am being photographed a lot lately - eating, sleeping, breathing, being. Plus I get to snap the shots that she sets up and feel special. These were taken in Washington Square Park the other night.
Check out this tune that I have drained my iPod dry listening to.

Just have to pack.

Found this picture on another site. Thought it was wonderful as it is the exact day I arrived and signed in at the Parsons building in New York City.
Now there's just one more day of the semester and I am headed to Whistler at 4:30 AM on Saturday!
Oh speaking of which, was a little spooked to read the story about the pole collapsing on that gondola in Whistler. Oh well, nothing will keep me from the slopes, it's been too darn long!

Hang in there.

Jeff Wall, Insomnia
Final projects are almost over.
P.S. Jeff Wall is possibly my favourite photographer. You'll be seeing more soon.

Head, wear.

3D class always generates some fun creations. My pal Blair made the beautiful head piece I am sporting out of copper wire and a great amount of time and patience. I put her in my head piece made from some straws I bought at the dollar store and some gold wire.
Wine calls! Happy weekend everyone.
