Back to the simple life.

Sorry I have been HORRIBLE at posting. I bet you all have given up on me - I would have too.
In my defense, this is the first time I have been at the internet cafe for longer than a few minutes so I seized the opportunity to make a quick post.
These snaps were taken at the beginning of the summer - hence the pail faces and a hint of a ripe liver. My birthday was eventful to say the least, as the power was out for TWO DAYS! Nonetheless, despite my not-having-showered-in-I-won't-tell-you-how-many-days, we amused ourselves with board games (bored games) and group naps and a salon party when the power came back on. Luckily I had an abundance of candles at my house to provide light for a pretty great get together in the darkness. I think I'll make it a tradition.
More soon. I have to make the most of the beach before I take off for New Zealand!
kisses, D.

Eeeeeeeeek! See you this weeeeeeekend!
Thank you for linking me this. Here's a favourite.
"I'm going to get drunk on champagne by myself"
"Oh no wait, my cat's here. Thank god, for a second there I sounded really sad."

Mahiki.

Last night in London was a highlight and we even managed to take some snapshots! Libby has come down for a visit and it has been great being at home with the family. Too bad Spring Break always has to come to an end.
More news and highlights soon!

Crafties.

So last weekend I went to my favourite little antique market on 25th street to collect some materials for my mood board for my 2D project. I picked up a few little trinkets for a total of 20 dollars and left feeling like a happy camper. Here are a few photos of my discoveries.
On another note, my best pal, Hillary, is landing - oh wait - right now (!) into JFK. I am waiting for her to call me and get her cute little butt over here and give me a hug. It has been a long 7 months without you!
Bisosus!

Frida.

So, my fellow artsy friend Frida, (left) posted this incredible album on Facebook the other day of her and her twin-seperated-at-birth Aubrey. I just haaaad to ask her if I could share a few of the many lovely photos. She is at school at Central St. Martins in London and plans to enter into the fashion design program. I have no doubts about her as her clothes and illustrations that she made for our IB exhibition were incredible to say the least!
big kiss from across the ocean,

Friend compilation, part 1.

This weekend, my pal, Kristina came for a visit. We saw so much of the city in so little time! I mean, if you want to hit all the best shops, you have to be willing to go the distance! It was great to catch up and I had a lovely weekend. Who wants next visit?
kiss, D.

Happy Birthday Claudie Mabry.

Today was our friend, Claudie's "21st" Birthday at Ja'Bon down at St. Marks Place.  It was a cute little personal party that almost led to karaoke! Luckily the machine was broken... Later myself, Danielle, Danny and Alwayne wanted to go out so we took a cab to PLUMM but noticed no one was outside other than this is old grey man...So we walked home to 20th St. It's not so bad here =]
much love,
T&D

Billy is my best friend.

Another great night with the family. After a big hearty mexican meal at Mary Ann's, we still managed to find some more space in our bellies for a Billy's run at 22h00. The best would be their red velvet cupcakes, but they tend to sell out of those that late at night!
This weekend I have two lovely visitors coming to the big city. Lots to see, concerts to attend, yummy meals and many cocktails to be had! Now, I just have to make it through Thursday and Friday.

It has been far too long since us girls hit the town.
Always a fun time with you, L baby.

Reset your relaxation button.

So here we are. Still in Whistler. Who'd have thought this place would have been such a blast that we would delay getting back to the real world for a couple of days? Thanks to our lovely new Kiwi friends, we have decided to head back to New York City next weekend. School life, cell-phone-bill-paying, apartment hunting and all the hustle and bustle can wait for another week.
kisses from D & L

Lula Lu.

So lately I've been getting my quick fix from Lula Magazine. The photography is magnificent. I urge you to take a peak. My next step: collect enough money to afford a subscription.
Sorry about the lack of posts - everyone needs a nice chunk of family time. I'm on my own for a couple days until my old friend, Jeremy, and my roomsh, Leighanna get up here to keep me company. Part two of my Whistler visit will commence in a couple days. For the meantime, I have rented bundles of old movies and am currently curled up on the couch watching "Once". Amazing duets and cute Irish accents. Perrrrrrfect for a cozy afternoon.
kiss, D.

If you seek Amy tonight.

Oh, we should maybe turn the flash on?

Cheers!
T&D
P.S. today, Tyler found some stellar vintage brown tap shoes for a steal of a deal and I snagged these pants for 10 bucks! I would feel bad, but I also bought my Mom her Christmas gift today, so my sins were cancelled out - math says so!

Beverage of Choice.

I have a lot of new news and just things to express to you guys =] I hope all is well with everyone

A special talent.

So I decided to show my best pal, Hillary, polyvore.com so that she could waste her life away like the rest of us do. Obviously her artwork is far too complex and is beyond comprehension to us mere humans.
I hope you still love me.
bisous bisous.

Oh heyyyyy there.

This lady does the best Sarah Palin impression hands down.
And she's a beauty to boot!
kiss.

Quick fix.

It was nice to have a little break from the busy school routine. I was pleased, after a long journey, to arrive at the new home in London which is just as cozy as it looks through the Skype webcam. It was almost too comfortable as I plopped myself down on the couch and barely wanted to move the whole visit. A couple expeditions were made around the city but nothing major. It was great to see some old friends and have a night out to the English pub down the road where we were lucky enough to watch a pretty hoppin' Spice Girls impersonator group, (oh my).
Thanks for a relaxing weekend.
kiss, D

11.18.2008

I'm all dressed up and I'm ready to play.

Scheming boys.

Seriously, who has the time or energy anymore for hitting the club dance floor? While some of you feistier kittens may be tough enough to brave the outside world, we have been perfectly content lately with stay-at-home partying. So another trip was made to Danny's in Brooklyn a few Saturdays back for some nice quality bonding time together over cocktails and great tunes, (the black theme was for kicks).  Many photos were taken, as we all know alcohol tends to bring out our creative sides and Scott brought some of his colleagues from Buckler to meet the gang.
All in all, a very successful night and some yummy left over Halloween candy to go with it.

p.s. the title was stolen from a great track that everyone should check out.
